We expect the Century Boulevard Extension will be used for about 8,600 vehicle trips per day when it opens. Roughly half of these will come from drivers within the community who currently use Lois Street and streets in the neighborhood.

Century Boulevard north of Main Street already has about 9,800 vehicle trips per day. Traffic models predict that traffic on Century Boulevard between Main Street and Cornell Road, will increase by 15-20% when the extension opens, about one vehicle per minute in each direction.

We expect traffic on Century Boulevard to increase by another 25-30%, about two additional vehicles per minute in each direction, when South Hillsboro is completely built out over the next 20 years.

We are working with the city of Hillsboro to make improvements, encouraging people to use Cornelius Pass Road and Brookwood Avenue for north and southbound trips to reduce the traffic on other roads.
